Honestly, its not all 6mm!(3)

It might not be 6mm stuff this time but it is more Sci-fi. I have been tempted by the numerous lovely ranges of 15mm sci-fi stuff for a few years now and I suppose it was inevitable that I would one day give in to temptation. well that day has come and I have splurged a few quid on a bunch of 15mm sci-fi stuff mainly from Ground Zero Games. Oddly in my roughly 30years of gaming I have never painted 15mm, its probably the only scale I haven't tried my hand at before.

So here are my first attempts at painting 15mm stuff, I must say I thoroughly enjoyed painting these and it made a nice change from the usual 6mm fare.  As for colours etc, the uniforms are Vallejo US field drab with Coat d' Arms Faded Olive and I have gone over the visors with a clear gloss paint from Humbrol which gives them that bit of shine

All miniatures from GZG.

6mm Fantasy Project (5) - Miscellany

I'm taking a wee break from sci-fi to add a little more to my fantasy stuff, this time around a few odds and ends.

First up some additions to the bad guys with some Demons and Demonologist (minis from MIcroworld):

And as the good guys need something to counter the demonic hordes, some Halflings from Irregular:

And whilst not really fantasy these are a couple of chariots for our intended (non -historical) chariot racing game: (minis from Rapier)

I have a few posts lined up for the coming week or so, including my first foray into 15mm.

6mm Sci-Fi/Post Apoc Project (IV) - More scenics & vehicles

Its seems to be all Sci-Fi at the moment, this time around a few more bits and pieces for my growing 6mm Sci-Fi skirmish project:

Alien life forms (GW Tyranid spores)

Some civilian tech/mech teams for use as objectives and scenery (CinC Miniatures):

A bunch of vehicles(from Angel Barracks, Old Crow, Scotia, Old Crow and Angel Barracks respectively):

Some more buildings (Angel Barracks minis):

A kit bashed building:

And finally a little bit of the Jungle-like alien terrain for both skirmish gaming and Epic, its not very good but serves its purpose and was very cheap to make:

I haven't made much progress on my Epic stuff of late having become somewhat bored painting the same Imperial Guard Infantry man hundreds of times, still there are no* further distractions on my painting desk so should be able to get back to then soon.

* That's actually a complete lie as I'm hooked on painting individual sci-fi minis at the moment and have a small Old West project to get my teeth into, oh and few little fantasy miniatures have somehow managed to creep onto my painting desk!

A long time ago on a Blog far, far away - Star Wars - 6mm Project (II)

I very short post this time, briefly updating my little Star Wars project.

First up some Nomadic Desert Scavenger types(all minis from Irregular):

Some sort of Land Speeder:

And I have added some more Troopers including a squad leader/specialist type:

That's it for this time, but I do have a few posts ready to go with some more Sci-Fi stuff that I have been painting.
