Middle Earth Gaming - Part 6 - Isengard

 This army is part of the reason I got into this game, as I bought the majority of it painted from a mate on the cheap, thus giving me an instant opposing army for the Gondor troops I was painting, and giving me spare funds to buy some other stuff. So onto the miniatures which were painted over 10 years ago I believe but are still looking good, and towards the end a few additional troops I have added.

Middle Earth Gaming - Part 5 - Moria

The first Evil force for my Middle Earth project, albeit a not very large one, although it is led by an iconic bad guy and we'll start with him first:

Middle Earth Gaming - Part 4 - Lothlorien

 Another small army this time, as I really just wanted a few Elves in my collection for variety and theme. 

The rules I am using (GW's- Middle Earth Strategy Battle Game) require your armies to be led by heroes so I picked up two which is more than enough for the force I have and allows me to add a few more troops down the line, and I do intend to add a few of the armoured Galadhrim at some point.

First up the two Heroes or rather Heroine & Hero:

Haldir(I went for the un-armoured version to keep with the traditional wood eleven feel):

and the few Wood Elven warriors I acquired to make it a legitimate force(or more like a small allied contingent):

On to the bad guys next as other than the Fellowship(2 down 7 to go!) and my Rohan force, that's all the good guys I have(Gondor, Grey Company, Lothlorien, + Fellowship and Rohan - to do). Although I would like to add more to the Gondor army and get some small Rivendell, Fiefdoms and Dwarfen armies so I've got everything covered.

Middle Earth Gaming - Part 3 - The Grey Company

One of my favourite parts of LotR is when the Grey Company turn up(not that they appear much in the rest of the story, but still, you just know they kick ass!!) The non-appearance in the films is one of the few really disappointing omissions, but at least GW did them justice.

Just nine minis make up this small (but deadly!) force, ideally I will eventually add some more rangers but I want to ensure I pick up the other pack so as not to have any duplicates.

Aragorn first:

I'd like an alternative Aragorn with a cloak, but this one will have to do for now. 

Legolas & Gimli next:

Elladan and Elrohir:(Bugger, due to these pics, I've noticed that I've missed a bit of hair on the side of Elladans face which I will now have to correct!)

Cracking on with more Middle Earth stuff at the moment, as very small Lothlorien force and the final minis for both my Isengard and Moria forces.
