Odds & Ends (20) Warhammer Underworlds

I have had a decent break from painting and it seems to have eased my shoulder problems. The break hasn't stopped me picking up some new minis though so it's time to start making some progress on the approximately 100, 28mm minis and 50, 20mm minis that I have purchased over the last few months.

As we have played at lot of Warhammer Underworlds the last couple of years and I finally decided to pick up a couple of warbands rather than using my mates extensive collection.

I  have managed to paint just the one warband so far but it has proved successful in all five of its outings to date, so I'll paint the other one once my opponents have figured out how to beat this one!

On to the mini's then, all four of them:

On to my 28mm Sci-Fi stuff next time.

Middle Earth Gaming - Part 7 - Mordor

My main evil force is a Mordor army which can double as a Barad-dur army for the most part and allows me to use Sauron. Unlike the Isengard army in my last post I actually painted this lot(well all but five):

Sauron:

The Witchking:(including the last of my remaining mini's from GW's original Middle Earth range)

Nazgul on Ringwraith: (Painted by my son)

Nazgul:

Gothmog:

The Mouth of Sauron:(painted by a mate as part of the bundle I bought off him)

Shagrat:(I bought this on E-Bay and it came painted, I usually always strip and re-paint but this fella was so nicely done I couldnt bring myself to do it!)

Gorbag:

Orc Command:

Troll:(bought from the same guy as Shagrat and again too well done to be stripped, I simply add a wash over the armour to dirty it up a little)

Mordor Orcs:

Morannan Orcs:

Warg Riders:

Just my Haradrim force for the bad guys left to do which I am about a third of the way through. then its the 4 small warbands for the good guys that I have left to do.

Middle Earth Gaming - Part 6 - Isengard

This army is part of the reason I got into this game, as I bought the majority of it painted from a mate on the cheap, thus giving me an instant opposing army for the Gondor troops I was painting, and giving me spare funds to buy some other stuff. So onto the miniatures which were painted over 10 years ago I believe but are still looking good, and towards the end a few additional troops I have added.

Saruman the White:

Lurtz:

Uruk Hai Command:

Uruk Hai Berserkers:

Uruk Hai: Crossbows:

Uruk Hai Warriors:

Warg Riders:

And the few I have added:

Grima Wormtongue:

Ugluk:

A few additional Warriors I have added which I have tried to match to the originals:

and the whole force:

More bad guys next as I have just about completed the final bits of my main evil force.
