6mm Dark Ages(IV) - The Vikings
I am determined to finish off both my Dark Ages project and the Imperial Guard before Christmas, both are nearly done, this post features my small but deadly Viking raiding force which represents a Longship's worth of troops:
(All miniatures from Baccus)
Just the last of the Anglo-Saxons to do now and that will be another job finished.

Gruntz - 15mm Sci-fi Project (7) - Marines & Misc. Aliens
I recently purchased some Blue Moon Sci-Fi stuff as I was ordering form them and thought I'd see how they compare to the GZG stuff I usually buy.
I only bought the one pack - Galactica Mercenaries, and I'm quite happy with them, although this did mean 10 more 15mm Sci-Fi miniatures to paint on my already over crowded painting desk.
I therefore decided to not do them justice and give them a very quick and easy paint scheme, these are the results:
They don't look too bad considering the time I put in, I reckon I'll give them some sort of APC and stat them quite tough to makeup for their lack of numbers.
I also painted up my Autonomous Gun Platform from GZG, this will bolster my Colonial Security forces:
No collection of aliens is complete without some sort of swarm, so here's mine:
I had a few spare so these will be large alien creatures for my 6mm sci-fi skirmish games:
And finally, I painted up some 15m.co.uk Triffids which I am adding in to my Alien forces as some sort of immobile Bio-Mortar team:
Finishing various odds and ends at the moment, Imperial Guard and Dark Ages mainly, and some more heroes and villains for Pocketquest, I have also started a small Faustus Furius project just waiting on a few more chariots and I'll be ready to play.

Odds & Ends (15) - Pages Added
Some of you may have noticed that I have added a few pages(links towards the top right of this page), as well as the existing Pocketquest page, there is now a page dedicated to the fantasy mass battle rule-set Lords & Lands, with new material added by the author, and links to loads of downloadable army lists.
Secondly there is a page where you can find all the issues of the free webzine Small Scale Quarterly (SSQ) a webzine focussing on 15mm and smaller miniatures.
Finally a Resources page where I have placed a few documents that you may find useful to download (Quick reference sheets, counters etc).
I have been busy painting recently and will be back to posting soon, and also will be posting a big update to PocketQuest in the next week or so.

Odds & Ends (14) - Miscellaneous Scenics - Fantasy stuff (6mm)
After recently making some rock outcrops I had some spare cork bark, I combined this with a piece of scenery from Leven to make this Dwarf-hold entrance:
And as I have been utilising aquarium plants recently I spotted this for a bargainous £1.65 which with a little ink wash and flock, will serve:
I also got round to painting my latest additions to my fortifications which I will use for both fantasy and WotR:
Every settlement needs a Tavern which mine were sadly lacking:
And finally a small Viking settlement and some generic primitive huts, the Viking buildings are meant to have turf roofs but I wasn't too sure how to do it so just left them earthy looking, I'm not too happy with the result so will re-do the roofs at some point:
Back on with a few more 15mm Sci-Fi minis at the moment, and then I'm determined to finish my Epic Imperial Guard army before the end of the year

Prohibition Era - 15mm Project - (I)
I don't really know why I do this but I have started a new gaming project, firstly I blame my mate Craig who blags me every-time, and secondly, I have always had a more than passing interest in this period of history (I blame being forced indoors to watch old films due to the typical summer we had here as kids! cf.WW2 & Old West).
Having found a nice range of miniatures in 15mm, (I refuse to go any bigger these days), from Blue Moon (via Old Glory UK) and sourced some suitable and cheap laser-cut MDF buildings that will pass for American apartment type buildings and some industrial/warehouse types, and as I reckon I will only need to fill a 2ftx2ft area, the project looked like a goer.
Rules will almost definitely be Great Escape Games' - The Chicago Way, so the only thing lacking was vehicles. Sadly I spent almost an entire evening searching for 1920-30's 15mm, 1/100ish, HO vehicles, the only suitable one's I could find were made by an American model railway company, although they were not cheap and the UK/European stockists didn't stock that particular range! although I did find some WW1 era Ford trucks(Irregular miniatures) which will work.
No cars, no game I declared to Craig, thinking that for once I had out manouvered him, "I'll sculpt some!" says he, "Bugger!" says me!
So here we are, not got any rules as yet, but started on my miniatures and have a few buildings to get to work on. this is my first "gang":
and some cops:
and Craigs first attempt at a car!:
