6mm Old West (1)

I am starting a very small Old West project using Irregular's Old West posh pack and some stuff from their Plains War range. For rules I will probably be using a modified version of Angel Barracks KR-16 rules which I reckon wont need much changing at all.

I have been lucky as Mick at Leven miniatures is on the verge of releasing a new range of Old West buildings in 6mm and he kindly sent me a set on the proviso that I paint him a set! So here we are with yet another world exclusive on my blog, Levens new Old West range(which I am told will be released in September):

Mine Entrances:

Stores:

Bank:

 Saloon:

 Sheriff/Town Marshall:

Church:

Generic Buildings:

Water Tower:

Barn:

Hotel:

When I received these I had not painted anything properly for around a month, and really wasn't in the mood for painting especially, as these were for someone else. However after some procrastination I finally cracked on and thoroughly enjoyed the process, the buildings are wonderfully cast and detailed and are a joy to paint.

UPDATE:

I passed these models to a mate to base up, before they are sent to Leven, he sent me the following pictures which I thought I would share:

  1. Those mine entrances would work for Dwarven ones in Warmaster!

  3. Thanks! I have just updated the post with pics of the models in situ. As for warmaster dwarfs, it may be a bit small, but Leven does do a Helms Deep like fa├žade which would make a good dwarf kingdom entrance and would probably work for 10mm too.
